Jessie Henderson has been named EVP of original feature films for WarnerMedia’s upcoming direct-to-consumer streaming platform.

Henderson (pictured) will head up development and production of a slate of original feature films with varied target audiences, including kids and families, teens and young adults, and adults.

She previously co-founded and served as co-president of Feigco Entertainment with Bridesmaids director Paul Feig. Before that, she held positions at Universal Pictures and Chernin Entertainment.

Henderson will report to Sarah Aubrey, head of original content for the streamer.

“Jessie has been a standout in this business and I feel lucky to have locked her in as part of our creative team,” said Aubrey, in a statement. “Her refined taste is reflected in her impressive body of work and putting her eye for talent together with the power of this platform will raise the bar even higher.”

This is the latest appointment as WarnerMedia approaches the launch of its as-yet unnamed streaming service.

Kevin Reilly, chief content officer of direct-to-consumer, was named to head up the streamer in December, while Jennifer O’Connell was tapped as EVP of original non-fiction and kids last month. Meanwhile, Brad Bentley has been general manager and EVP for direct-to-consumer development since November. On the scripted side, Suzanna Makkos is EVP of original comedy and animation.

The service is due to launch in Q4 this year, but a specific date has not been set.
