A+E Networks-owned cable net History is gearing up to premiere Prometheus Entertainment’s non-fiction series The UnXplained, hosted and executive produced by William Shatner.

The 8 x 60-minute anthology series will look to tackle mysteries such as cursed ancient cities to extraterrestrial sightings.

The UnXplained will explore the facts behind some of the world’s most strange and bizarre mysteries, and features top scientists, historians, engineers and researchers who are trying to shed light on how the seemingly impossible can happen.

Debuting on July 19 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, The UnXplained is produced by Prometheus Entertainment, the company behind Ancient Aliens.

Kevin Burns is executive producer for Prometheus Entertainment. William Shatner is an executive producer, and History’s executive producer is Susan E. Leventhal.
