Online lifestyle media brand Thrillist, part of Group Nine, has named Meghan Kirsh to the role of chief content officer.

Kirsch (pictured) will oversee all Thrillist content and brand identity, including providing leadership for the written, video, production and design teams.

She will be based in the company’s New York headquarters where she will report to Thrillist president Ocean MacAdams.

Kirsch has spent the last two decades in the TV and digital media industries, most recently as SVP of creative and marketing at Vice Media, where she led a 50-person team across Vice, Viceland, Vice digital, Vice News and Vice Studios.

“For the last 15 years, Thrillist has helped audiences live their best lives by introducing them to the coolest things to do wherever they are,” said MacAdams, in a statement. “We’re thrilled to bring on Meghan, a true creative leader, to steer Thrillist’s content helm and further our brand’s award-winning written and video editorial output.”

“There’s so much information, stimulation and noise out there,” added Kirsch. “Thrillist’s eye towards curation and track record for creating the kind of impactful content that cuts through and creates a loyal fanbase makes it an exciting place to be.”
