Fox Entertainment has picked up the U.S. adaptation of UK-based dating format Flirty Dancing.

The original series follows two complete strangers, each taught one half of a dance routine, as they meet for the first time and hope to find “love at first dance.”

In a twist to the original format, Fox’s Flirty Dancing will see one of the participants dance with two partners before choosing which one they have the strongest connection with.

The series will be produced by Objective Media Group prodco Second Star, which produces the original, and All3Media America, the U.S. arm of production group All3Media.

“We’re delighted to be partnering with Fox on this ambitious format. We’ll be shooting each dance in a stunning real world location to really give each of our hopeful singles their Hollywood musical movie moment,” said Deborah Sargeant, CCO of Second Star, in a statement.

Sargeant and Objective Media Group America’s Jilly Pearce will serve as executive producers.
