Deadliest Catch executive producer Decker Watson (pictured), through his Defiant Pictures, has partnered with MAK Pictures, founded by Mark Kadin, to develop a docuseries that’s been two years in the making.

No details have yet been released about the new series.

“Mark is a great creative partner for whom I have immense respect. He’s been able to not only make major sales in an increasingly difficult market, but start a successful and respected production company in the process,” said Watson, in a statement.

Watson has written, produced and directed more than 167 hours of content for Discovery’s Deadliest Catch franchise, including 16 two-hour episodes, 28 one-off documentaries, multiple live shows and a studio talk show.

Watson has also partnered with Craig Chapman’s Media Werks Entertainment to develop a scripted feature film.
