British pubcaster Channel 4 has commissioned a new lifestyle series about financial planning.

The 6 x 30-minute Save Well, Spend Better will see groups of loved ones, whether couples, friends or families, meeting at a specially constructed “Money Hub,” rigged with cameras, to have frank and sometimes uncomfortable conversations about money that they have been putting off.

The series will see participants working with a team of four specialists who will offer practical advice to help end financial and relationship struggles.

Counselor and life coach Anna Williamson (Celebs Go Dating, This Morning) presents the series and offers guidance to participants. She is joined by fellow experts like entrepreneur and CEO Bianca Miller-Cole (The Apprentice), financial adviser Emmanuel Asuquo and global financial consultant and author of The Wealth Chef Ann Wilson.

Save Well, Spend Better is produced by Firecracker Scotland, with Elspeth Ohare executive producing. It is produced in partnership with Lloyds Bank and will be filmed in Glasgow. The series has been commissioned for Channel 4 by Deborah Dunnett, commissioning editor of popular factual, and Timothy Hancock, commissioning editor of features and formats.

“I want to take away the embarrassment and anxiety around money and get couples talking honestly about their finances to help fix their relationships,” said Williamson in a statement.

No air date has yet been set.

Channel 4 is currently casting Save Well, Spend Better. More information is available here.
