Silver Springs-based wildlife and science film prodco Red Rock Films has tapped British filmmaker Belinda Cherrington to take on the role of creative director.

Cherrington (pictured) was previously creative director and director of factual at 360 Productions (now Rare TV).

“Belinda has previously helped expand production for such notable companies as 360, Renegade and Tigress, and she’s had a diverse range of primetime unscripted success in multiple formats including stunts, science, factual entertainment, wildlife and history,” said Red Rock president Brian Armstrong in a statement. “Belinda’s experience is a perfect fit for our growing business and we look forward to her increasing our profile and business — particularly in science programming.”

Meanwhile, Red Rock has promoted Shannon Malone-deBenedictis to the role of SVP of development and production. In her new role, she will be overseeing development at Red Rock Digital/Kids and Red Rock International.

Elsewhere, Red Rock International, based in Johannesburg, has upped Alexandria Christos to development executive.
