Canadian-born, California-based Brant Pinvidic has been a producer and director, a network executive, a CCO and a CEO, and a podcast host. The multi-hyphenate is now adding another descriptor into the mix — author — with the upcoming release of his first book, The 3-Minute Rule, from Random House. To talk about all of the above and more, he joins Jimmy Fox for the latest edition of Unscripted and Unprepared, presented in partnership with Realscreen.

The new episode is now available via iTunes, Stitcher, Google Play and Spotify, among other outlets.

Pinvidic has held senior development positions on the production side, at GRB, and at a network, TLC. From there, he moved to 3 Ball Entertainment/Eyeworks where he executive produced and sold such series as Bar Rescue¬†and Extreme Weight Loss. After forming his own company, INvelop Entertainment, he directed the documentary Why I’m Not on Facebook, followed it up with the short, Why I’m Not on Pokemon Go, and extended the idea into the podcast, Why I’m Not…

Having left the reality TV production business, he has consulted with myriad companies working in various sectors and has been a contributing writer for Forbes. Pinvidic’s most recent venture is the book, The 3-Minute Rule, in which he shares his recipe for effective, clear and concise communication and pitching prowess.

Past episodes of Unscripted and Unprepared, a series of conversations with the most influential players in the unscripted television industry, have featured Howard T. Owens, Arthur Smith, Brent Montgomery, Nancy Glass, Jonathan Murray, Cori Abraham, Thom Beers, World of Wonder’s Fenton Bailey, Epix’s Rachel Brill, History’s Eli Lehrer, Propagate Content’s Ben Silverman, ID’s Jane Latman, TLC’s Jason Sarlanis, ITV America’s David Eilenberg, and Showtime’s Vinnie Malhotra, among many others.
