London indie Barcroft Studios and distributor TCB Media Rights have unveiled a new vehicle-centric docuseries, in partnership with A+E Networks’ FYI channel.

Ultimate Rides (20 x 30 minutes) looks at some of the world’s most impressive — and incredible — vehicles, including a jet-powered Amish buggy, an underwater convertible, the world’s most expensive SUV and the Ferrari Dino found buried in an LA garden.

Each episode features five vehicles and the stories and stats behind them, with input from the owners, designers and customizers who know the vehicles best.

The series is executive produced by Sam Barcroft, Alex Morris and Peter Wyles for Barcroft Studios; Jordan Harman and Christian Murphy for A+E Networks; and Paul Heaney for TCB Media Rights.

“It’s not often that an opportunity presents itself to represent an automotive show with great volume and the perfect broadcast partner already in place,” said Jimmy Humphrey, head of acquisitions and co-productions at TCB Media Rights, in a statement.

“When our friends at Barcroft shared this one with us, it was a no-brainer. Plus, it’s got Monster Trucks in it — what’s not to love? A great pleasure to be bringing this great project to market for petrol heads worldwide.”

Ultimate Rides will air as part of the ‘Drive’ enthusiast block on FYI.

TCB Media Rights will distribute the series in all territories outside the U.S., launching it to buyers at MIPCOM in Cannes next week.
