Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) has expanded Jill Offman’s managing director role at Viacom International Studios (VIS) covering all English-speaking markets.

Offman (pictured) assumed management oversight of the UK arm of VIS in April, when VIS UK was rebranded from Elephant House Studios. In her new role, she will now add content sourcing opportunities for Canada, Australia and New Zealand, in addition to her existing remit overseeing VIS UK, Viacom’s in-house production studio.

Her expanded remit takes effect immediately.

VIS UK has primarily produced factual content for Viacom’s UK TV networks, including Channel 5, MTV and Comedy Central, but Offman will also oversee a move into scripted, with a raft of new commissions.

Since taking the helm at VIS UK, Offman has restructured the team to centre on five genres – scripted, comedy, reality, factual and children.

In addition to her role as managing director of VIS, Offman is also executive vice president of Comedy Central and Paramount Network International.
