French channel RMC Découverte has commissioned the factual documentary Record-Breaking Trains, which explores some of the most impressive locomotives since World War II, from Paris indie Pernel Media.

The 70-minute film is based around the stories of three trains: the historical CC7100, the high-speed record-breaking TGV and the AGV, which was nicknamed the “train of the future.”

Record-Breaking Trains follows Pernel Media’s Record-Breaking Bridges, which also aired on the documentary-focused channe;.

Stéphane Sallé de Chou, Guenaëlle Troly and Séverine Gourinchas commissioned the documentary for RMC Découverte. Samuel Kissous is executive producer for Pernel Media.

The channel most recently commissioned Pernel Media to produce a second season of Ancient Structures, along with the most recent season of Wheelers Dealers France.
