Magnify Media parks Test Drive in Italy

UK-based distribution and entertainment rights-management company Magnify Media is sending BBC Scotland’s car-based game show Test Drive (pictured) to Italy.

Endemol Shine’s production company YAM 112003 will produce the 8 x 30-minute show, which will air on RTI Mediaset in January 2020.

The Italian version of the original format, produced by Bandicoot, will be titled NCC – Navigazione Con Conduttore. The deal represents the first international format sale for any BBC Scotland show.

The original version sees three teams of two embark on a road trip through some of Scotland’s most beautiful scenery en route to a mystery destination. The teams must answer questions via a specially adapted satnav as they go. The right answer will direct to a well-known tourist attraction via the shortest route, but a wrong answer will add miles to their trip. The winners are the team with the lowest mileage on the clock.

NENT Group explores The Art of Living in new docuseries

The English-language show is produced by Mastiff, and developed by Banijay Factory, in co-operation with Niklas Ekstedt.

The Art of Living will premiere exclusively on NENT Group’s Nordic streaming service Viaplay on Jan. 3.
