BAFTA TV Award winner Joanna Lumley is to embark on a 1,500-mile Caribbean adventure for British commercial network ITV.

Produced by Burning Bright Productions, Joanna Lumley’s Hidden Caribbean: Havana to Haiti will follow the Paddington 2 and Absolutely Fabulous actor (pictured) as she journeys to Cuba and Haiti to explore each country’s history while also unearthing their hidden and unspoiled coastlines, beaches, mountains and forests.

Clive Tulloh serves as executive producer, while Ewen Thomson is producer and director. ITV factual controller Jo Clinton-Davis commissioned the series.

Joanna Lumley’s Hidden Caribbean: Havana to Haiti (2 x 60 minutes) is slated to launch in Spring 2020 across ITV.

“Joanna’s enthusiasm for and curiosity about the countries and cultures she explores always adds a layer of interest and excitement for viewers – no more so than this adventure into the hidden wonders of these two remarkable Caribbean neighbors,” said Clinton-Davis in a statement.
