Technology and camera company Snap is to launch two short-form series from British indie October Films next week.

Anchoring the slate is Compton Dreams, which will chart three young rappers as they navigate through relationships, money and past gang affiliations while seeking success on the world stage. Featured budding artists include Ceno ‘The Hustler’, YS the ‘Young Savage’ and Azja ‘The Princess of Compton’.

Compton Dreams, announced in spring and launching today (Nov. 15), is executive produced by October’s Matt Robins, Chris Muckle and Louis Mole. Sterling Milan serves as series director.

Elsewhere, Diego Street Magic will head to the streets of New York with mentalist, hypnotist and illusionist Diego Winburn. The short series premieres Nov. 19 and will follow Winburn as he unleashes various magic tricks on unsuspecting New Yorkers, from shooting fireballs to reading minds.

Robins serves as executive producer for Diego Street Magic with Mole series producing.

“I’m really proud of Compton Dreams and Diego Street Magic—both are shining examples of October’s ongoing success in exploring fresh talent, sophisticated narrative and high production value with exciting new content partners,” said Muckle, head of U.S. factual at October Films, in a statement.
