NBCUniversal- and Comcast-owned cable net Bravo has set a January air date for the Kinetic Content-produced competition format Spy Games, in which 10 contestants compete in a game of espionage in hopes of winning US$100,000.

The previously announced series, hosted by model and martial artist Mia Kang, is inspired by the U.S. base known as Station S, where civilians were assessed and trained to be spies during World War II.

Competitors are tasked with gathering intel on fellow players, and must survive a series of challenges designed by three “assessors:” Douglas Laux, former undercover CIA Officer; Evy Poumpouras, former specialagent for the U.S. Secret Service; and Erroll Southers, former FBI special agent.

The assessors observe contestants around the clock, train them in spy craft and judge their progress. Those who master the skills quickly and demonstrate “the emotional control and natural instincts” to be a spy will continue in the game.

Spy Games is executive produced by Chris Coelen, John Saade, Eric Detwiler, Karrie Wolfe, David Burris, Andrew Wallace, and Scott Teti for Kinetic Content, a Red Arrow Studios company.

The series premieres Jan. 20 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

Elsewhere, cable net Reelz has ordered four episodes of the factual series Friends Speak about convicted murderer Jodi Arias from Kinetic Content and Pyramid Productions.

The series follows Casey Anthony: Her Friends Speak, which premiered December 2018 on Reelz. Friends Speak provides the perspective of those who were friends with notorious criminals or their victims, featuring first-hand accounts of the days leading up to and following the crimes.

Jodi Arias: The Friends Speak, premiering Dec. 8 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, is executive produced by Coelen and Wolfe for Kinetic Content, and Buddy Day for Pyramid Productions.

Red Arrow Studios International is distributing the series worldwide.
