TVF International adds two players; Fireworks hires a consultant as it pushes for more factual content; and Hot Docs augments its International Advisory Council.

London-based distrib TVF International has announced a couple of appointments: Robert Norton has been appointed managing director and Danita Matusch has been named head of sales. Norton replaces Lilla Hurst, who left last year to join UK independent distributor RDF International. He was previously CEO and co-founder of Internet health start-up Clickmango. Matusch was formerly sales and marketing manager for Sydney, Australia-based Jennifer Cornish Media. She replaces Anne Roder-Botbol, who left to join Channel 4.

Marjie Woods has joined Fireworks Entertainment‘s international division in London as a consultant for the company as it expands its factual output. Woods was formerly the VP of Europe at Australia’s Beyond Distribution. Tom Bairstow has also joined Fireworks as a sales executive.

Bill Roberts, president and CEO of the Canadian VisionTV channel group, will join the International Advisory Council of the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival. The Council, lead by Rudy Buttignol, creative head of documentaries, drama and network at TVOntario, includes industry heavyweights from HBO, BBC and Discovery Canada. Roberts was secretary general of the North American Broadcasters Association prior to joining VisionTV.

Bree Ann Murdock has been upped to supervising producer at California-based Indigo Films. Murdock was previously a producer for the Indigo miniseries America’s Most Haunted Places on The Travel Channel. Murdock will continue to supervise that series and four other specials on the channel.

Steve Doerr, has left his post as senior VP for news, programming and creative development at NBC. Doerr is said to have left for personal reasons.

Kim Rozenfeld, president of Half Full Entertainment, joins VH1 as VP, West Coast programming and development.

Lisa Wright has been promoted to international sales and marketing executive for Toronto-based distrib Octapixx Worldwide.
