U.K.-based Granada International has named Mark Reynolds as the new head of international factual programming. Reynolds, who is currently director of news and current affairs for BBC Worldwide Ltd., replaces John Drury, who is leaving Granada to start his own business.
Robin Paxton has been appointed managing director for Discovery Networks International‘s businesses in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Paxton previously worked for the Walt Disney Company in the capacity of managing director of their television businesses in the Asia-Pacific region. Paxton takes the post at Discovery on June 6. Paxton is the second exec from Disney to join Discovery in the last two weeks. Last week, Plus reported that Billy Campbell, who was president of Disney-owned Miramax Television, was appointed president of Discovery Networks U.S.
L.A.-based Oxygen Media has named Jennifer Saltzgiver director of development. Saltzgiver will develop new scripted series and reality, talk and hybrid genres. She is now the manger of original series development for MTV.
Scripps Networks has promoted Stephanie Eno to director of programming and production for the cable network Fine Living. Eno was previously manager of programming.
Frederick Huntsberry has been promoted to executive VP and chief financial officer of Vivendi Universal Entertainment, which encompasses Vivendi’s film and television businesses, and the recently acquired entertainment assets of USA Networks. Huntsberry was senior VP and chief financial officer of Universal Studios.
Ellen Flahive has been promoted to executive director of the PBS Sponsorship Group in New York. Flahive is currently national sales director for the group.
Todd Tarpley has been named VP of interactive media for New York-based Bravo Networks. Tarpley is currently VP, interactive, A&E Television Networks. Also at Bravo, Greg Varhely was appointed director of video-on-demand and subscription video-on-demand for the Independent Film Channel. Varhely is currently manager of interactive media.
Josh Hanna has joined A&E Networks’ Genealogy.com as content business manager. Hanna will be responsible for the company subscription performance and will develop product line strategies for the company.
Darren Metzger joins New York-based Hallmark Channel as director of international advertising sales marketing. Metzger is now the director of international advertising sales marketing. Meanwhile, Suzanne Bussart was named account executive for advertising sales at Hallmark.
