Gear: with Cameron Smith

Enticing male viewers with tech toys is like shooting fish in a barrel. Easy enough, but once you've got them, you have to keep them. Even the most obvious broadcasting equations can go wrong if all the right pieces aren't in place.

Enticing male viewers with tech toys is like shooting fish in a barrel. Easy enough, but once you’ve got them, you have to keep them. Even the most obvious broadcasting equations can go wrong if all the right pieces aren’t in place.

Gear: with Cameron Smith gets it right, with the precise combo of toys and appealing host. Look for this weekly HD series to tackle everything from personal hovercrafts to computer gear and home video arcades, from all corners of the US. Host Cameron Smith might be known to some from his appearances on Saturday morning dance show Disco Daze on ITV in the ’70s, or from his show, Smooth Jazz TV, which has been syndicated globally since 1996. He’s also been a reporter, a commercial actor and has landed two feature film roles. Onscreen presence he’s got, and that’s a factor that really makes or breaks shows that revolve around technology.

Partners: Center Stage TV for Mojo HD and some in-flight, distributed through Electric Sky
Wrapping: November 2007
Length: 13 x 30 minutes
