Thom Beers tries hand at scripted programming

Thom Beers, the man behind Dangerous Catch and Ice Road Truckers, is taking his signature blend of dangerous jobs and everyday people to the scripted world, with Original Pictures' TV movie Working on the Edge. Principal photography has wrapped on the film, based on the Spike Walker book of the same name, under the banner of Working Edge Productions, Inc., and is slated to premiere on Discovery in 2009.

Thom Beers, the man behind Dangerous Catch and Ice Road Truckers, is taking his signature blend of dangerous jobs and everyday people to the scripted world, with Original Pictures’ TV movie Working on the Edge. Principal photography has wrapped on the film, based on the Spike Walker book of the same name, under the banner of Working Edge Productions, Inc., and is slated to premiere on Discovery in 2009.

Andrew Tracy joined Realscreen as associate editor in 2021, following 17 years as managing editor of the award-winning international film magazine Cinema Scope.
