Paramount, MGM, Lionsgate partnership announces epix

Studio 3 Networks, the joint venture between Paramount's Viacom, MGM and Lionsgate, has announced the launch of a next generation entertainment service called epix. The service will give users access to the studio's films and original programming on TV, along with on-demand access via broadband delivery. The multiplatform service will also include extras like trivia and games, and will launch in the fourth quarter of 2009.
