Doug Baker to become CFO of Discovery Networks International

Discovery Communications has announced a shuffle within the company that places Doug Baker into a new role as SVP and CFO of Discovery Networks International. Baker will be in charge of all financial aspects of Discovery's international business, a task that includes overseeing the division's regional CFOs in the UK, EMEA, Latin America and Asia-Pacific, and he will report to Greg Ricca, president and CEO of Discovery Networks International.

Discovery Communications has announced a shuffle within the company that places Doug Baker into a new role as SVP and CFO of Discovery Networks International. Baker will be in charge of all financial aspects of Discovery’s international business, a task that includes overseeing the division’s regional CFOs in the UK, EMEA, Latin America and Asia-Pacific, and he will report to Greg Ricca, president and CEO of Discovery Networks International.

Baker was previously SVP and CFO of Discovery Communications’ digital media, emerging networks and business development groups.

‘He will be an invaluable asset to us, bringing a spirit of collaboration and support to the financial governance of our international business as it continues on its path of growth and improved profitability,’ says Brad Singer, SEVP and CFO, Discovery Communications.

Baker will move into his new role in the coming weeks.
