Discovery International names new VP of programming

Discovery Networks International has announced the appointment of Darcy Tomlin as the VP of programming and business operations. Tomlin, who joined Discovery Communications in 1997, moves up from her previous position of director of programming for Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, Discovery Science, Discovery Turbo and Discovery Civilization. In her new role, Tomlin will manage the operational side of the business, while also working with the programming teams throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific and Latin America. She will report to Marieclaire Odell, senior VP of programming and marketing.
