The BBC has made five new appointments to the Knowledge commissioning team. Aaqil Ahmed was appointed head of religion and ethics and commissioning editor for Religion TV. Ahmed comes to BBC Knowledge from C4 where he was commissioning editor for religion and multicultural. A number of people have been promoted from within such as Christine Morgan who has been appointed executive editor and head of religion radio, and was formerly executive producer for BBC Religion and Ethics. Mark Bell has been promoted to commissioning editor for arts, Charlotte Moore has been appointed commissioning editor for documentaries, Kim Shillinglaw has been promoted to commissioning editor for science and natural history and Harry Lansdown moves up to commissioning editor for BBC Three Factual Features and Formats.
