River Monsters reels in most viewers in Animal Planet’s history

Animal Planet's River Monsters has snagged the most viewers for the channel, averaging more than a million households across its seven premiere episodes. The series, which averaged more than 1.4M P2+ viewers, has launched the channel to the fifth place ranking among all non-sports in cable amongst viewers ages 18 to 49. A second season of River Monsters, again to be hosted by angler Jeremy Wade, will launch in spring 2010.

Animal Planet’s River Monsters has snagged the most viewers for the channel, averaging more than a million households across its seven premiere episodes. The series, which averaged more than 1.4M P2+ viewers, has launched the channel to the fifth place ranking among all non-sports in cable amongst viewers ages 18 to 49. A second season of River Monsters, again to be hosted by angler Jeremy Wade, will launch in spring 2010.
