BBC2 commissions Blakeway for Madoff doc

BBC2 has commissioned Blakeway Productions, a Ten Alps company, to create a doc on the effect Bernie Madoff's $50 billion Ponzi scheme had around the world. The special for the international current affairs strand 'This World' will follow the son of Bill Foxton, a UK victim of the fraud who killed himself after he lost his life savings, as he investigates the impact of the crime on the investors from celebrities to schools to multinational banks. The 1x60 minute program is due to air in June when Madoff is due to be sentenced.
