Fox defends ‘Idol’ votes as a fair win for Kris Allen

The American Idol winner was not affected by AT&T offering free text message at viewing parties in Arkansas, the home state of winner Kris Allen, according to this New York Times article. Fox Broadcasting, FremantleMedia North America and 19 Entertainment's issued the statement that 'Kris Allen is, without a doubt, the American Idol.'

Fox Broadcasting, FremantleMedia North America and 19 Entertainment’s issued the statement that ‘Kris Allen is, without a doubt, the American Idol.’
