ZDF, Skyworks collaborate on ‘Iron Curtain’ project

ZDF Enterprises and Skyworks, the British specialist on HD aerial photography, are working together to produce exclusive HD aerial footage of the infamous border which used to exist between East and West Germany. Also included in the team is Klaus Leidorf, a German expert on aerial image archaeology who has captured the border on film numerous times. The footage will be used in various ZDF/ZDF Enterprises programs currently in production, including the five-part documentary series 'Crossing the Border' (w/t), four episodes of 'ZDF Environment on the Move', and a doc made by the ZDF Department of Contemporary History. The material will also be marketed as footage by ZDF.archive in German-speaking countries on an exclusive basis.
