Simon Fox, the chief executive of HMV, is on the shortlist for the chief executive position at ITV, as well as Pascal Cagni, the French head of Apple; Guillaume de Posch, the former chief executive and chairman of ProSiebenSat.1; Tony Ball, former BSkyB chief executive; and internal candidate John Cresswell, ITV's chief operating officer.
