Doc/Fest announces Youth Jury

Sheffield Doc/Fest and 4Talent announce winners of the youth jury competition, selected from over 500 applicants aged 16 to 24. The winners are Alice Carder (21) from Sheffield, Gannesh Rajah (22) from London, Tom Globe (21) from Portmouth, Hannah Ruddle (15) from Sheffield and Tarnia Mason (20) from London. This month the winners will attend a week long 'HotHouse' at Channel 4 where they will receive training from high profile figures in the industry such as Michael Palin and Margaret Brown (winner of the Sheffield Doc/Fest 2008 Youth Jury Award). During the festival, which runs from November 4 to 8, the Youth Jury will actively participate in the festival by setting up their own press room, interviewing filmmakers, creating podcasts and selecting the winner of the Youth Jury Award.
