Darlow Smithson does quick turnaround for TLC

Darlow Smithson Productions (DSP) has been commissioned by TLC to produce a quick turnaround doc following the hijacking of the American container ship, the Maersk Alabama. The one-hour doc is executive produced by Tom Brisley for DSP and was commissioned by Rita Mullin and Eileen O'Neill for TLC. Using archival footage, reconstructions, CGI and interviews with the crew and their families, the doc will take viewers through the experience of being hijacked by Somali pirates. The doc will air on Sunday August 16.
