New head for Nat Geo UK

Jason Thorp, MD of Fox International Channels (FIC) UK and FX UK is adding head of National Geographic Channels UK to his roles. He will report to Hernan Lopez, COO of FIC and George Jeffrey, who is handing over the reins of NGC UK to Thorp but will remain president of NGC Europe. In the shuffle, senior VP of communications for FIC UK, Cecilia Parker, has been promoted to GM of FX UK Channels. She and Simon Bohrsmann, GM for NGC UK, will report to Thorp. FIC is owned by News Corp, and NGC UK is jointly owned by News Corp and National Geographic.
