Current TV in UK starts doc strand

Current TV in the UK and Ireland is launching a new current affairs strand featuring documentaries and specials covering diverse range of British and international topics. The strand kicks off on September 28 and continues every Monday at 10pm. Among the docs airing in the strand are Wasted Britain, examining British drug culture; Sex and Money (October 26); The Godfathers of Modern Terrorism (November 9) and Porn 2.0 (November 16). The content, to be produced by Current's in-house journalists as well as emerging filmmakers, will feature what James DuBern, vice president of content at Current TV calls 'authored journeys, audacious topics and authentic storytelling.' The channel is available on Sky and Virgin Media.
