Endemol restructures Asian operations

Endemol has announced a restructuring of its Asian operations. From this point, all operations will report directly to Arjen van Mierlo, CEO of Asian operations at Endemol Group. Van Mierlo will continue to be based at Endemol Asia's offices in Hong Kong, which will now also become the headquarters for the group's South East Asian business, previously based out of Bangkok. Edward Sharples, managing director of Endemol South East Asia is stepping down. The company says it is planning to further build its presence in Hong Kong, India and Malaysia while pursuing further Asian expansion, with Korea, Japan and mainland China in its sights. In other Endemol news from Asia, Linfield Ng has been appointed as director of licensing for the region. Ng was most recently with BBC Worldwide Asia.
