Air India 182, directed by Sturla Gunnarsson and produced by 52 Media Inc. and Eurasia Motion Pictures Inc. in association with CBC Television, was honored at the 2009 Directors Guild of Canada Awards in Toronto on Saturday, Oct. 24. The film, which digs deep to tell the tragic story of the destruction of Air India Flight 182 in June of 1985 that resulted in the deaths of 329 people, received the Allan King Award for Excellence in Documentary.
