Martijn Blekendaal wins Media Fund Documentary Award at IDFA

A jury named Martijn Blekendaal and his film plan The Thirteenth Man [De dertiende man] the Media Fund Documentary Award winner at IDFA. Blekendaal wins € 125,000 from the Media Funds - Dutch Cultural Broadcasting Fund for the best film plan developed in the IDFA Documentary Workshop. The winning film plan centers around three amateur football referees who are looking for dignity and respect. The winning film was chosen from six film plans, developed with workshop mentor, documentary maker John Appel.
