The Al Jazeera English network may soon hit Canadian televisions when the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission delivers its decision regarding the network on November 26. The Toronto-based Ethnic Channels Group Ltd. has agreed to act as sponsor and comments the Commission has received have been mostly positive. This is counter to the 2003 attempt to carry Al Jazeera Arabic, which never found any carriers.
