Rogers Group of Funds executive director Robin Mirsky has joined the Hot Docs board of directors as co-chair. She takes over for Norm Bolen, president and CEO of the Canadian Film & Television Producers Association, who will continue on as a board director after four years as co-chair. Mirsky has been with Rogers Communications since 1989 and the Hot Docs board since 1999. She shares the co-chair role with Michael McMahon, president and executive producer of Primitive Entertainment. The Hot Docs board keeps getting bigger, with new members Robert Pattillo, EVP marketing and communications for DundeeWealth Inc.; Neil Tabatznik, chairman and CEO of Cobalt Pharmaceuticals and also executive producer for Shake Hands With the Devil; Toronto-based filmmaker and co-chair of DOC Toronto, Lalita Krishna; documentary maker and board member of the BC Chapter of DOC, Julia Ivanova; and finally Danijel Margetic, award-winning producer, directer and writer and he also sits on the board of DOC as the Advocacy chair.
