Pioneer adds EP to team

Pioneer Productions has appointed Alex Williamson as executive producer of the Tinopolis Group indie. Williamson will be at Pioneer for six months developing Pioneer's move into the popular factual space. He brings a long-standing relationship with Pioneer and a specialty in factual programming to the table, having worked on the Raging Planet series (Discovery US), the Emmy-nominated Equinox: The Wave that Shook the World (Channel 4/PBS) and installments of the 'Naked Science' strand for NatGeo with Pioneer. His popular factual titles include Brits who Changed the Modern World (Five/History Channel) and expedition-adventure film Expedition Bhutan (Discovery US).
