BBC World News America claimed an Emmy Award for Business and Financial Reporting for Return to White Horse Village in the category 'Outstanding Interpretation or Analysis of a Business News Story in a Regularly Scheduled Newscast'. In the program, a follow up to last year's Peabody award-winning White Horse Village, the BBC's Carrie Gracie sees how urbanization has affected a Chinese farming village. BBC World News America received two other nominations for Tokyo in the Downturn and China Rising and earlier this year received three nominations at the News & Documentary Emmy Awards. Return to White Horse Village was co-commissioned by BBC World News America and Newsnight.
