History greenlights first reality competition series

History has greenlit its first reality competition series. Top Shot is a 10 episode series inspired by historical feats of sharp shooting in which contenders compete for a $100,000 prize package and the title of 'Top Shot.' In each episode competitors face team and elimination challenges inspired by real events in history, from Wild West shootouts to modern-day sniper missions. The channel is currently searching for competitors for the HD series, which will debut in 2010.
