Temple Street adds new MD

Toronto-based prodco Temple Street Productions Inc., the prodco behind Canada's Next Top Model and How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?, announced today it is adding John Young as its new managing director. In addition to managing the company's day-to-day business operations, Young will be responsible for evaluating and implementing initiatives to grow the company. Young will report to the company's co-presidents, Ivan Schneeberg and David Fortier, who will be turning their focus to the creative vision for the company. Young is a lawyer by training who most recently spent six years as MD in the OMERS pension fund private equity group where he was responsible for managing and growing companies acquired by the group. He has been a member of Temple Street's board since December, 2008.
