Adam Leipzig, president of National Geographic Films for the past six years, has announced that he is stepping down. Leipzig will be heading into the independent production world, as executive producer on two upcoming films. The biggest hit under Leipzig's tenure was March of the Penguins. The rumor mill suggests that former Miramax Films president Daniel Battsek will fill Leipzig's role.
