Ex-Current exec launches BE Network

Former Current Media and Sky Latin America executive Mark Goldman announces he is launching BE, an HD lifestyle network focusing on yoga and wellness. The network will offer a revenue-sharing model for distributors and will allow broadcast, cable and Internet partners to share in advertising and commerce opportunities around wellness. The network has signed prominent talent in the wellness arena including Maya Fiennes, a musician, yogi and TV personality in Europe; Dr. Timothy Brantly, author of bestseller The Cure and Sophie Keller, contributor to The Huffington Post. The planned primetime lineup for the channel, which will be targeted at women 30-65, will feature successful formats re-made with wellness themes.
