The Documentary Channel doubles its U.S. subscriber numbers

After a new agreement, The Documentary Channel will now be available on DIRECTV, effectively doubling the number of subscribers who can view DOC. DOC, the first 24-hour digital TV network devoted to indie docs, will debut on DIRECTV on March 31, and will extend DOC's reach to over 25 million homes nationwide. Financial terms of the carriage agreement were not disclosed.
