‘The Cove’ sparks controversy in Japan, U.S. military base

The Associated Press reports the U.S. Air Force Yokota Air Base west of Tokyo has canceled its screening of The Cove to be 'sensitive to local political and cultural concerns.' Protesters are also reportedly showing up outside of the film's Japanese distributor's offices to protest the public screening of the doc, which is due to hit theaters in Japan in June.
