Bravo Media has upped Eli Lehrer, previously VP of development and production for the East Coast, to VP of development. He’ll now be tasked with leading development for both coasts, and will continue to report directly to Andy Cohen, senior vice president, original programming and development.
Lehrer will relocate to Los Angeles for the new role, in which he’ll identify series concepts and signature characters for programming. In his previous role with the NBC Universal-owned net, he developed such shows as Flipping Out, The Real Housewives of New York City, The Rachel Zoe Project and The Real Housewives of D.C. He also served as exec producer for Watch What Happens: Live, The Millionaire Matchmaker and Tabatha’s Salon Takeover.
‘Eli’s a smart, thoughtful executive with a keen eye on what’s happening culturally,’ said Andy Cohen. ‘His knack for discovering innovative concepts and talent has contributed to the success of some of Bravo’s biggest pop culture hits over the past years.’
The announcement comes weeks after the news that former Bravo VP of development Cori Abraham was moving to sister network Oxygen as SVP of development.
