‘Whale Wars’ reels in biggest ratings yet

Last Friday’s episode of Whale Wars, which documented the collision between Japanese ship Shonan Maru 2 and the Sea Shepherd vessel Ady Gil, notched up the highest ratings for the series thus far. According to Animal Planet, the episode, titled ‘Sliced in Two,’ reeled in 1.7 million viewers and a 1.3 household rating. ‘Sliced In Two’ also stands as Animal Planet’s second best regularly airing telecast ever among P2+. The third season of the series is thus far shaping up to be the best performing, with a 17% increase over last season to date.
