TLC.com and Volkswagen have announced an online sponsorship that will see the automaker sponsor the broadcaster’s online family and travel content, including a new webseries called The Great Getaway. The five-episode series will roll out over the next three months and follow the exploits of the seven-member Woods family as they hit the road in Sedona, Arizona in a Volkswagen Routan minivan. Through video journal-style updates, the family will recount their journey with the vehicle’s product features integrated into the content. The show was created and produced by TLC.com and VW’s media agency of record, Deutsch, Los Angeles.
