Zodiak USA and actor/producer Kelsey Grammer (Frasier, Cheers) have announced a joint venture prodco, G3 Productions. Entirely focused on unscripted entertainment, the new prodco is owned and operated by Grammer and industry vets Stella Bulochnikov-Stolper and Brian Sher.

This is the first coproduction deal Zodiak USA has embarked upon thus far since its formation following the acquisition of RDF Media by Zodiak. The deal also gives Zodiak USA first look rights to all G3 properties.

Grammer also operates the scripted prodco Grammnet, which is behind such series as Medium (CBS), Girlfriends and The Game (The CW). Bulochnikov-Stolper, formerly senior vice president of talent development at VH1, co-founded Ish Entertainment in 2007 (Paris Hilton’s My New BFF; 50 Cent: The Money and the Power). Sher, a former ICM motion picture agent, is Grammer’s partner in Grammnet and also operates his own management/production company, Category 5 Entertainment.

“I am thrilled to be working with the very creative and energized minds of Stella Stolper and Brian Sher,” said Grammer in a statement. “Combining all of our talents with the people at Zodiak USA makes for an even more exciting collaboration.  I see extraordinary potential in this new partnership.” Tony Yates, COO of Zodiak USA, called it an “ideal partnership for both parties.”
