Nick Cohen, BBC Vision multi-platform commissioner for arts, documentaries and factual, has been added to the jury of the upcoming MIPDoc Co-Production Challenge, organized by Reed MIDEM in partnership with realscreen and the European Documentary Network (EDN).
As previously announced, Hamish Mykura (pictured), head of documentaries for the UK’s Channel 4 and More4, will lead the jury for this year’s event. The jury also includes Iikka Vehkalahti, commissioning editor, Documentary for YLE TV2; Karen Michael, Commissioning Editor for ARTE France and Axel Arno, Commissioning Editor for SVT – Sveriges Television AB.
The winner of the Challenge will receive: editorial coverage during MIPDoc 2011 and in realscreen‘s post-MIP issue; a one-on-one meeting with a jury member during the event; free entry to MIPDoc 2012; free submission of their winning program to the MIPDoc 2012 digital library; a two-day pass to the 2012 Realscreen Summit, in Washington D.C. and a one-year subscription to realscreen.
